Will Subnautica 2 launch on PS4 / PS5 / Switch?
Not at Early Access launch. Subnautica 2 launched on PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 14, 2026. PlayStation and Switch versions may take 2-3 years based on developer statements.

Is 4-player co-op available on Day 1?
Yes. Online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer are available in Early Access from launch day. You can team up with up to 3 other players.

How long will Early Access last?
Unknown Worlds expects Subnautica 2 to spend 2-3 years in Early Access for UE5 optimization, co-op balancing, and community iteration.

What is on the Subnautica 2 roadmap?
The official roadmap includes EA 1.1 (QoL), EA 1.2 (content expansion), regular hotfixes, and future world expansion with no fixed dates yet.

Will my Early Access save carry to 1.0?
The developer has indicated saves should carry forward, but this is not guaranteed. Major world expansions may require new saves.
